Supporters
As a Charity, all the money for running costs, and indeed for installing Listening Units, has to be raised through donations, fundraising projects and grants. No-one at Life Care Radio gets paid so our volunteers can often be found hosting coffee and bake sales, holding collecting buckets and taking part in local events such as Paignton Festival and Torbay Carnival.
As part of their work, they are also available to support with garden parties and fetes at the residential and nursing homes that they broadcast to – this keeps them in touch with their listeners and can help to provide music and basic public address systems to lend atmosphere.
It is important to remember that many of the listeners rely on radio and television to bring them closer to their local communities and features that are included in the shows help to keep residents in touch with what is happening and celebrates life in the Torbay and South Devon area.
